Venacup – Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Venacup and how does it work?

Venacup is a reusable menstrual cup made from 100% medical-grade silicone. It collects menstrual flow (instead of absorbing it) and provides up to 12 hours of leak-free protection while remaining soft and comfortable.

2. Which size should I choose?

Small (S): For women under 25 years old, or those who haven’t given birth vaginally.
Large (L): For women over 25 years old, or those who have given birth vaginally.

3. Is Venacup safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. Venacup is hypoallergenic, BPA- and latex-free, and made from medical-grade silicone. It has been clinically tested for cytotoxicity, skin irritation/sensitization, and system safety.

4. How long can I wear it?

Up to 12 hours depending on your flow. Empty, rinse with clean water (mild soap if desired), and reinsert.

5. How do I insert and remove Venacup?

  1. Fold & Insert: Wash hands, fold the cup, and insert gently.
  2. Wear: The cup opens and seals naturally to collect flow.
  3. Remove & Empty: Pinch the base to release suction, remove, and empty.
  4. Rinse & Reuse: Rinse and reinsert.

6. How do I clean and sterilize it?

Before first use and after each cycle, boil the cup in water for 5 minutes. During your cycle, rinse with water and mild soap. Dry fully before storing in the cotton bag.

7. Can I sleep, swim, or exercise with it?

Yes. Venacup is designed to stay secure and comfortable during sleep, swimming, and exercise.

8. Can I use Venacup with an IUD or postpartum?

Many users with an IUD use menstrual cups comfortably—insert and remove gently. After childbirth, wait until your clinician confirms you’re ready to resume internal products.

9. How long does one cup last?

With proper care, a Venacup can last up to 10 years. Replace if damaged or significantly discolored.

10. What’s in the box?

1 Venacup (S or L), 1 cotton storage bag, and a detailed user leaflet. Packaging is recyclable.

13. Returns & exchanges

For hygiene reasons, opened cups cannot be returned or exchanged. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, email info@venacup.com within 48 hours.
